If you have searched for a nail tech in Cypress or Los Alamitos lately, you have probably seen the words "Russian manicure." It is my signature service and the foundation of everything I do at Amore Mio, so here is a plain explanation of what it is.
A dry manicure, done with e-file tools
A Russian manicure is a detailed dry manicure. Instead of soaking your fingers in water first, I work on clean, dry nails using professional e-file tools. That lets me do precision cuticle care and careful nail prep around the whole nail.
Your nails are never soaked.
What happens at your appointment
At Amore Mio, a Russian Manicure includes:
- Nail shaping
- Cuticle prep with professional e-file tools
- A soft gel or hard gel overlay
- A relaxing scrub, a hot towel and a hand massage
The appointment takes about 120 minutes.
Soft gel or hard gel?
The overlay is chosen for what your nails need. Soft gel stays flexible and gives a natural finish. Hard gel gives the most durability and structure. Both are designed to strengthen and grow your own nails, without extensions.
Who it is for
The Russian manicure is a good fit if you want to keep your natural nails, grow them out, or make them stronger. If you want more length, every extension service I offer (Gel-X and dual form hard gel) starts with a full Russian manicure too. You can read how those two compare.
Price and booking
A Russian Manicure is $120, and a $35 deposit holds your spot. Nail art starts at $20 and can be added to any appointment. You can see every price on the Services page or the Russian Manicure page.
My studio is a private, appointment-only suite at Salon Row, 4747 Katella Ave in Cypress, minutes from Los Alamitos.
