Russian manicure questions
Everything you want to know before your first Russian manicure at Amore Mio: what it is, what it costs, deposits and how to book.
About the Russian manicure
What is a Russian manicure?
A Russian manicure is a detailed dry manicure done with professional e-file tools for precision cuticle care and careful nail prep. At Amore Mio it is finished with a soft gel or hard gel overlay to strengthen and grow your own nails. It is my signature service, and every service I offer starts with it.
Why is it called a dry manicure? Are my nails soaked?
Your nails are never soaked. The Russian manicure is a completely dry method, so I can work closely and cleanly around the cuticle with professional e-file tools.
What is the difference between soft gel and hard gel?
Soft gel stays flexible and gives a natural finish. Hard gel gives the most durability and structure. I choose the overlay based on what your nails need.
Who does the Russian manicure at Amore Mio?
I do. I'm Gabriella, a nail technician for more than 20 years. I completed advanced Russian manicure training at Nail Art House in Austin, Texas, I'm certified by Erica's ATA and I trained under Hilary Dawn Herrera.
What is included?
Nail shaping, cuticle prep, the gel overlay, a relaxing scrub, a hot towel and a hand massage.
Prices, time & booking
How much does a Russian manicure cost in Cypress?
The Russian Manicure is $120 and takes about 120 minutes. Extensions start at $100 for Gel-X and $125 for dual form hard gel. You can see every price on the Services page.
How do I book?
Book online through my booking page, or text (562) 476-1045. After-hours appointments are available by text.
Do I need a deposit?
Yes. A deposit holds your spot and must be paid within 48 hours of booking, or the appointment cancels automatically. It is $35 for the Russian manicure and extensions.
What is your cancellation policy?
No-shows and cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice are charged 50% of the service.
I'm wearing gel, acrylic or dip from another salon. Can I still come in?
Yes. Add Enhancement Removal ($35, about 45 minutes) when you book, so there is time to take it off before your new service. Returning clients wearing my work do not pay a removal fee.
